Our Social Impact Governance

The funding world changed what it asks for
Foundations, corporates and institutional partners have moved from “do good work” to “show me a model that demonstrably works — and can be replicated.” The constraint is no longer belief in social value. It is proven, transferable evidence that can be understood beyond an organisation’s own walls. Most mission-driven organisations create real social and economic value. For PANDAN IMPACT ADVISORY infrastructure, it's not just reporting. We take the value buried inside mission-driven organisations and make it legible to the people who can sustain it. Fewer can prove it in the language that funders, boards and investors actually use. That gap — between genuine impact and legible impact — is what Pandan closes.
Built for decision-making, not disclosure
Impact measurement is only useful if it changes decisions. Four principles keep our work decision-grade rather than merely compliant.

Impact measured across four forms of capital
We analyse outcomes through four capital lenses — revealing how impact drives long-term sustainability, not just social value.
Human Capital
Skills development · Wellbeing · Employment stability
Social Capital
Community trust · Social inclusion · Community resilience
Natural Capital
Emissions reduction · Resource efficiency · Water use
Financial Capital
Revenue resilience · Cost savings · Risk reduction
Why this matters: understanding how these capitals interact lets an organisation see impact not only as social value but as a driver of longterm financial performance — connecting purpose with enterprise strategy.
The Method works at every stage of maturity
Pandan’s method is not theoretical. It has been built and tested on real organisations at opposite ends of the maturity curve — the clearest evidence that it travels.
Project Dignity
Koh Seng Choon’s fifteen-year disability-inclusion social enterprise runs Singapore’s only SkillsFuture-accredited hawker training operator and is ISO 22000–certified, having trained and placed thousands of persons with disabilities into real employment in F&B. The impact was never in doubt; what was missing was the structure and language to bring institutional partners into the story, and a succession path so the mission outlasts its founder. Pandan helped articulate and strategise the next steps — translating fifteen years of proven mission work into a structured impact-measurement approach, alongside a governance and succession framework, so the model can scale beyond any single individual.
Physio Down Under
A Singapore pelvic health physiotherapy clinic with clear clinical outcomes but economically invisible value — productivity regained, surgical escalation avoided, quality of life restored, none of it structured for an employer, insurer or funder to act on. Pandan is building the measurement scaffolding: a Patient Wellbeing Impact Score and an early-stage social-return model, plus a grant-funded pathway to bring specialist care to women normally shut out of it, including domestic workers and women without insurance.
One mature, one early. The same method underneath both — measurement that makes overlooked value legible enough to fund.
Beyond reporting, toward strategic impact governance
Built to last
Impact infrastructure embedded in governance and strategy — not a one-time exercise that sits in a drawer.
Right-sized rigour
From operational metrics for SMEs to capital models for larger organisations — methodology matched to context, never over-engineered.
Strategy, not just reporting
Findings feed board decisions, partner and investor communication, and operational improvement — not just an annual document.
Impact Amplification
Measurement only creates value if the right people see it. Once impact is measured, validated and published, Pandan helps amplify it into a credible public narrative — not just an internal document.
Measure → Validate → Publish → Amplify ✶ → Build trust

Why this matters: impact measurement creates value only when the people who matter can see it clearly — customers who care about purpose, investors who need evidence, talent who want meaningful work, and the communities who deserve to know.
Make your impact legible enough to fund
Pandan Initiative is a Singapore-based social innovation non-profit (company limited by guarantee). Its Impact Advisory practice takes the value buried inside mission-driven organisations and makes it legible to the people who can sustain it — through measurement, structure, and the narrative to carry it.
